Eye Treatments in Congo

Teams of eye doctors travelling to Africa to perform eye surgeries on patients who lost their eyesight. They travelled once within the framework of Eye from Zion, a voluntary organization that carries out medical humanitarian missions throughout the world, and on the second time by themselves. The operations were carried out in the university hospital and the army hospital. Over 100 people were treated during 3 days of operations. Many patients who could not see in the morning of the operation, had their sight returned within an hour after the operation. The Israeli team worked in close cooperation with the local medical teams who continued patient follow ups once the Israeli team returned home.
